I was perusing an article and noticed this cool little quote:

then I noticed a poll to the right. so I clicked a reply and found to my disgust that this poll is being freeped.

"Do you consider a fair decision by the Federal Electoral Tribunal to only recount 9% of the ballots?"  current count?  over 50% just think it's dandy.  wtf?

I first set out to do a diary on the 14 points of fascism in relation to the newly coined term "islamo fascism".

This man has been fighting our fight since before most of us knew there was something we should be fighting against/for/about etc.  A true grass roots hero.  Now is the time for us to support him with the resources at our disposal.

After first claiming they would open 3/06 they backpeddaled to say it would take possibly years.  Now: "Oil Minister Kazem Vaziri Hamaneh said on Wednesday that the establishment of Oil Stock Exchange is in its final stage and the bourse will be launched in Iran in the next week."  
Though the article doesn't specifically say Iran is planning on opening with the Euro - this information has been spread widely through the internet. Combine that with hints from foreign leaders and the story becomes more compelling.  
Recently China & Russia have welcomed Iran into the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Combine the recent solidifying of ties between Russia Iran and China with Russia's finance minister, Alexei Kudrin, discussing the possibility of using the Euro instead of the US dollar and something more than theory starts to form.

I have my opinion on these tax cuts and how much they have cost me over the last few years.   I know there are many on kos who agree with me.  I would love to see this poll flipped.    So how about it?  You with me?

last night there was this diary talking about a poll that will greatly help Shelly Midura get some exposure.  I don't have the mental energy to give all the details but the quick and dirty is:

The poll was overwhelmingly in favor of giving Shelly some air time.  Now today's poll is asking if they should throw out last night's results and Not allow Shelly her chance.

There were many quotes by the "founding fathers" regarding their opinions on the negative influence our current monetary system has on society and how they tried to negate the system.  The timeline spans hundreds of years and is quite interesting.  

Every time I hear one of these stories I get even more pissed. so here I am left wondering - how much more pissed could I get?  How pissed can any person truly become?  Is there a limit? It's just so tragic and ridiculous.

How badly can bushco fuck up the world? We need to get rid of this man before something globally Catastrophic occurs.

So the big bad guy that Bush has been complaining about - one of his big justifications for war - one of his main reasons for linking Saddam to al-Qaeda - was a fugitive even in Iraq. Considered a threat to the Baath regime.

There was a piece on Democracy Now today about a KBR Federal Govt contract that caught my attention. A trip to their web site was no help. It's not there.  So I did some digging. What I found out is intriguing. I have been hearing whispers recently about "U.S. detention camps" and other sundry conspiracy theories lately - what's new?  But to actually see the news release confirming it was new for me.

this story brings to light in a rather stark fashion exactly how out of control our government is. We are now spying on vegans.  distain the consumption of meat and pay the consequenses. These radical activists dare to picket our nationally protected pork industry. yikes. here is the video. Oh and by the way - it's not a BAD thing to have your name listed in a FBI file. wow. aren't you relieved?

Having grown up bombarded with advertising/brainwashing - so cal resort town red suburbia style - I appreciate it when someone much more articulate than I am disects the sociology involved in maintaining our corporate american state.
